Alvine and Associates, Inc. was founded in 1961 as a mechanical and electrical systems design and consulting firm. The firm has experienced stable and continual growth and now provides technical expertise under two banners. Alvine Engineering offers comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering, and architectural lighting design. IP Design Group, our technology division, provides telecommunications, audiovisual, security, and acoustical systems design.

We design systems for projects large and small all across the country. With offices in Omaha, Nebraska; Lincoln, Nebraska; Des Moines, Iowa; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Denver, Colorado we strive to leave a positive impact on all the communities in which we work. From LEED™ and the WELL Building Standard™ (WELL™) to WiredScore, we help our clients achieve their goals to create comfortable, effective, and efficient spaces that will help them be successful for years to come.

Alvine Engineering is an IWBI member to educate our communities on the impact of the built environment on human health. Through the design of our WELL Certified Gold corporate headquarters, we learned many valuable lessons about designing healthy building systems. Our building now functions as a living learning lab for community members to tour and experience a heathy building design for themselves. We love having the opportunity to show others the WELL features we have in the building. As an IWBI member, we can not only share what we learned with others, but learn from other members sharing their experiences, too.

Having our corporate headquarters achieve WELL Certified™ Gold has been our most impactful health and wellness achievement so far. We determined early on in the design process that we wanted to achieve WELL Certification and adjusted our designs along the way to accommodate WELL’s standards. Hearing employees’ positive feedback and appreciation for the healthier work environment has been one of the greatest rewards.
